Characteristics The Ficus Makana Toef comes from the Ficus family. Better known as the Rubber Tree. The sap from the tree (latex) was an important source of rubber, hence the well-known nickname. The sap from the plant is toxic if ingested and can be irritating to the skin. This plant is therefore not suitable for direct proximity to children and pets.
